Oh gawd. It's almost June, and I haven't updated in forever. Shame on me. Well, here's the go's in my little world. For anyone curious or interested, I am a 4Channer, and I go by Tired Anon (with a tripcode). That's how you'll be able to spot me and know it's ol' Discord. I get a lot of inspiration from their /cm/, /e/ and /y/ boards, but also sit and bull shit on /an/ when i feel the need to.
I have become addicted to Bleach. It's sad. I don't read the Manga, but stick to the Subbed Japanese anime that comes out on either YouTube or whatever anime site i can find. And I have a favorite character as well. Uryuu Ishida. Haha, I tell everyone it's the glasses that are the most alluring about him, but the sewing is a plus! I've even made a picture of him, and yea, it's in my deviations, so go check it out. I've just reuploaded Photoshop, so I'm rusty, forgive the craptastic job on him, but I promise more, and better, ones are on the way.
Speaking of which, I've got a Yahoo rpg group called Bleach: The RpG going, and almost all characters from the series are taken, awesome ne?
[link] <~ is the link to the group if you have yahoo at all, and are a good writer, I suggest taking a look and joining!
News update, I'll be starting work at the West Coast Game Park Safari on the 6th, and yes, it rocks cause I'll be working exclusively with animals. Albeit cleaning up after them too, and dealing with loads of people, but that's nothing compaired with the perk of spending hours a day with exotic/not exotic animals. And no, I don't considder Ferrets exotic. The Wallaby baby is though <3 Just one step closer to being like my hero, Steve Irwin, rip.
Well, that's it for me, so keep watching for more art pieces!
UPDATE:
Well, I've scoped around a little bit, and have read a few journal entries about Art Theft, especially when it's on a fan art topic. I am, as you well know, against Art Theft, but unfortunately, the internet is not a good place to put your art when you want to keep it exclusively your own. Someone is bound to come along, save it, then upload it onto some photo sharing site, or forum. Surprisingly enough, I've found a few pieces from a Deviant Artist here on PhotoBucket, and unknowing that who the artist was, or even that it was a fan drawn piece (honestly thought it was an official art), saved it, and later used it as a the main page picture for a yahoo rpg group. Well, lucky for me, I did find the artist, and seeing as they were rather upset about seeing their art on fan sites, I decided to take the picture down, and use one I'm pretty sure is an official art piece.
So, there's a line that needs to be drawn between ART THEFT, and mistaken identity on pieces that do not have a reference to artist on them (which can be edited out sometimes). In my opinion, if someone likes your art enough to make it a title page pic, or a wall paper, then there's no harm in it. However, when people make edits, or simply put the picture up on an art site and say it's their's, even though it's not, then that is very, very wrong. I think a lot of artists are simply scared of being discredited, or losing their hard work due to the number of idiots on the Web. But, that is a price you have to consider when posting art on the internet.
Photobucket, the various Chan sites, and other forum/picture sites are culprits for posting art that is not referenced to the artist. It's sad, yes, but then, sometimes someone is smart enough to add the "Oh, here's the website/artist of..." and then, you get more people viewing your stuff. So, it's a win some lose some sort of thing. Personally, if my stuff wasn't crap compared to most artists on here, then I'd be overjoyed that someone considered my stuff worthy of attention on a forum. I'd rather a reference to me as the artist, but unless it's printed clearly on the picture, then it's not always gonna happen. You just gotta hope that the person that originally found your art had bookmarked the site for later browsing and sharing.
Alright, that's enough for me.
